JFK Terminal One

JFK Terminal One

JFK New Terminal One is a landmark redevelopment project reshaping the future of international travel in New York. Spanning 2.6 million square feet, this $9.5 billion initiative is the largest terminal at John F. Kennedy International Airport and one of the most ambitious public-private infrastructure partnerships in the U.S.

The project is being delivered in phases, with initial gates expected to open in 2026, and full completion planned by 2030. Once complete, the terminal will house 23 gates, highly sophisticated screening systems, well-designed concessions, and a focus on sustainability through all-electric equipment, solar energy, and energy-efficient design.

JFK served a record 63.3 million passengers in 2024, a 2% increase from the year before. This project ensures that Terminal One is equipped to meet future passenger demand while offering a seamless, modern experience that reflects New York’s role as a global gateway.
