There are more than 450 Primrose schools nationwide, serving children 6 weeks old through kindergarten and after-school students.

Each Primrose school is independently owned and operated by Franchise Owners, who partner with parents to help children build the right foundation for future learning and life, and offer an environment that helps children have fun while nurturing Active Minds, Healthy Bodies, and Happy Hearts.

Grace Construction Management Company supervised the construction of The Primrose Daycare Center from early development to completion. This approximately 11,848-square-foot facility with 49 parking spaces, located at 32 Falcon Rd, Hillsborough Township, NJ 08844.

Grace Construction Management is full-service construction management & design-build firm with an integrated approach to overall planning, coordination, logistics, control, budgeting & scheduling of projects, based in Moorestown, NJ. It's recognized as the Top Commercial General Contractor and Builder in Philadelphia, New Jersey, and the Delaware Valley.

As the main contractor of the development, Grace Construction Management Company opted to use Evercam construction cameras to share progress with the owner, monitor site activity, and document completed work.

South Portland Middle School

Education

Harvey Construction Company has been in the business since 1939. In the 1960s, the company widened their scope of services to include the general construction and renovation of hospitals, nursing homes, high-tech facilities, office buildings, schools, college buildings and wastewater treatment facilities.

With one of their $55.9 million projects underway, the construction of South Portland Middle School, Harvey’s goal to keep the construction progress in check as well as be able to tackle any issues that may arise across the project prompted them to approach Evercam in order to realise their goal. The project will combine Mahoney Middle School and Memorial Middle School into one building. The construction site is adjacent to Memorial Middle School.

Having set up two  cameras on site, Evercam provides Harvey with time-lapse videos as well as Procore integration services. The Procore integration provides a more streamlined workflow since users can access the photos from the jobsite easily and collaborate more efficiently. Evercam automatically syncs to Procore by setting up Snapmails so that an image is sent daily over to Procore.

The Acorn Apartment Complex

Williams Realty & Building Company has been building quality custom homes since 1954. Raleigh developers partnered with Williams Realty & Building Company Inc. on a new seven-story apartment and luxury hotel project situated between Person Street and South Blount Street—just two blocks from Moore Square.

Construction of the apartment complex, The Acorn, began in Dec 2021. The building will have three stories of shared parking below four stories of apartments boasting 106 units, including amenities such as a fitness centre, clubhouse and a fourth-floor pool with downtown views. The Acorn is set to open in the summer of 2023.

The hotel, located on the western portion of the property, will be an urban format, upscale Marriott Towne Place Suites offering 138 guest suites in a 7-story configuration. The hotel public areas will feature a lobby bar and expanded fitness facilities with integrated outdoor terraces.

Two Evercam cameras have been installed on-site to monitor the progress of the project. One camera is using the Gate Report Feature to identify all vehicles that access the site and provides the team with a PDF report of the breakdown of vehicle types and the respective timings that they enter and exit the site. The X-ray tool is also handy to the team as it provides them with fantastic reference point to see how much of the stored material was used in a set time frame.

9th and Marion Fire Station

Construction for a new fire station in Reading is underway. The $5.94M contract was awarded to Perrotto Builders Ltd., who are tasked to demolish the old Ninth and Marion to make way for a new playground. The current playground at Ninth and Marion streets will be removed to build the new fire station.

The 16,505-square-foot station is planned to house five pieces of fire and emergency apparatus and will include areas for sleeping quarters, laundry, maintenance, storage, offices, living space, restrooms and a gym. It will replace the current Marion-Hampden station across the street, at 1155 N. Ninth St.

The 19th-century firehouse that is still in use at Ninth and Marion streets lacks space, safety features and amenities required by today’s firefighters to effectively and safely do their jobs. It is presumed that this is an investment worth undertaking not only for public safety but for the overall well-being of the neighbourhood.

Mill Creek City Hall

On March 17 2022, a groundbreaking ceremony for the new Millcreek City Hall happened to start its construction. The new city hall will be located at 1330 E. Chambers Ave. (3205 South) near the Millcreek common skate loop. MHTN Architects continues to work closely with city and community leaders on fleshing out details for the new Millcreek City Hall. Located at 1330 E Chambers Avenue (3205 South), the new Millcreek City Hall will have the following amenities:

  • Ground floor: Public market, cafe, restaurant, entrepreneur incubator space and an open area for rotating market events.
  • The second floor will contain a 125-seat City Council chamber ("Community Forum") and the reception area for City Hall and UPD.
  • The third floor will be UPD Millcreek Precinct headquarters, the fourth/fifth floor city employee offices & conference rooms and finally sixth floor 175-seat community room accessible for rentals by the public and the outdoor balcony with commanding views of the Wasatch Front and Millcreek Common below.

One of the site’s greatest assets is its proximity to frequent public transit, thus the site will also feature a strong network of pedestrian and bicycle access and storage. Electric vehicle charging stations will also be incorporated into this new future-oriented home for City Hall.

The Village Flats

The Village Flats Phase II is an approximately 37,500 square foot, 4-story mixed-use building with approximately 6,500 square feet of ground-floor commercial space and twenty-four 1- and 2-bedroom apartments. The new Phase II building will blend seamlessly with Phase I, increasing the unit count to 79 residences in total.

Proposed on the ground floor are four commercial spaces, including about a 2,500-square-foot restaurant with a patio that overlooks Centennial Park. On the remaining three floors will be 24 elevator-equipped, one- and two-bedroom apartments.

Architectural features include a variety of balcony types, sizes and locations on the distinct facades. Private, elevated apartment stoops spill out onto semi-private garden courts encouraging interaction with neighbours. This residential community is designed for strolling, biking and chatting with neighbours. This purposeful design of the place is an opportunity to foster community and provide a highly sought after urban lifestyle in the thriving Pearl District.

The Phase II development is well-positioned to capitalise on the ongoing development activity in the Pearl District as well as being co-located with the new 6th and Peoria Bus Rapid Transit station, Centennial Park, and the Midland Valley Trail system. 400 Hillsborough Street, otherwise known as 400H is a 20-story, mixed-use tower at the corner of Hillsborough and West Streets in downtown Raleigh. This new mixed-use vertical community acts as a connection point for downtown Raleigh.  400H brings together the best of retail, office, and residential functions at a centralized amenity level. Communal amenity spaces provide a range of activities for occupants and are larger and more well-appointed than traditional separate amenity spaces. Ground-floor retail benefits from heavy pedestrian foot traffic, while easy access to main streets is attractive to Class-A office tenants.

The tower's design blends these uses together vertically, yielding a taller and more slender building with all the benefits of a cohesive community. The project size is approximately 560,000 SF with 144,000 SF of Class-A office space, 16,000 SF of ground-floor retail, and 242 apartments. The 9th-floor sky-hub features an indoor-outdoor amenity center with a pool, fitness center, lounge, and meeting space. It is expected to be completed in the 2nd quarter of 2023.

Two cameras have been installed on this site with our Procore integration set up,   Connecting Evercam to Procore improves communications and progress tracking for this project. The time-lapse videos are also used for marketing purposes with Barnhill having opted to add our Gate Report feature to these cameras,  which allows the team to plan for logistics of vehicle movement in and out of the job site and receive a daily log of all daily throughput.

E-Finity's Microturbine Installation, US

E-Finity sells and installs Microturbines to provide clean, independent power solutions to buildings. They are an exclusive distributor of Capstone Turbines.

E-finity was tasked to install two microturbines at a cannabis facility just south of Baltimore, MD.  Given the facility’s high electricity and water requirements, it was an ideal candidate for a combined cooling, heat & power system (CCHP) with power supplied by Capstone natural gas microturbines.

A construction time-lapse camera was installed on-site for project management, communication with the office; remote management and marketing.

Virginia State University

Education

Swedish contractor Skanska won a $70m contract to build an undergraduate science laboratory at the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in Blacksburg, Virginia.

The new 9,500-sq-m building whose construction began in April 2022, is set to contain 30 wet, dry, and specially designed to be flexible and adaptable to current and future instructional needs for the university’s College of Science, College of Engineering, College of Natural Resources and Environment, and the College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. Graduate teaching assistant workspaces, classrooms, collaboration spots, offices, informal study areas, and 24/7 student space will also be incorporated.

The completion of this project is scheduled for April 2024.
