Gascoigne East
Construction is in progress on the re-development of Gascoigne East, which is currently seeing 11 new buildings being built, which once completed will deliver well-planned, high-quality apartments for different-sized households from singles through to families.
In addition to the new homes, there will be attractive, tree-lined public spaces, including an entirely new park – the 5,000 square metre Gascoigne Square – with public art and striking designs in a mixture of traditional and modern styles.
The project is part of the long-term regeneration of the 1960’s Gascoigne Estate in Barking. It is being developed to provide new homes for shared ownership, private sale, affordable and local market rent.

Willmott Dixon involved Evercam at the early stages of project planning to ensure that the project was captured from the very beginning. This enables them to have a video record of the project progression and allows the client to develop innovative solutions to keep everyone on program, work collaboratively & minimise delays with clear communication across channels. Tallawarra B Power Station
Tallawarra B Power Station will be Australia’s first net-zero emissions plant, which will use a blend of green hydrogen and natural gas. This is a proposed 316MW expansion of the existing 435MW Tallawarra Power Station located in Illawarra, New South Wales (NSW), Australia.
To be powered by a 316MW open-cycle gas turbine, the new power generation facility will meet the electricity needs of the communities in NSW after the closure of the Liddell coal-fired thermal power station in Hunter Valley in 2023.
The total investment in the new power plant is estimated to be up to A$400m ($309.55m). The Australian and NSW governments agreed to provide up to A$78m ($60.7m) and A$5m ($3.9m), respectively, to support the project.

Through government funding, EnergyAustralia aims to procure 200,000kg of green hydrogen a year, starting from 2025. This is equivalent to 5% of the plant’s fuel use during its operational life. Although the project will generate emissions, the intensity is expected to be less when compared to a coal-fired power plant.
Three (3) construction cameras have been installed on this site to enable the team to manage the project remotely, ease communication between different offices as well as market the company using the timelapse videos.

Eve Belle Luxury Care Home
Eve Belle is a luxury, state-of-the-art care home with 58 comfortable en-suite rooms in the highly desirable town of Wickford, Essex. Set over two floors, Eve Belle will feature a Cinema, Spa Suite, Hairdressing Salon, Cocktail Bar, Family Rooms and Bistro Lounges.
Basildon Council received an application in July 2020 to replace Chaplin Lodge on Nevendon Road with plans to knock down the 66-bed complex and build a new 58-bed home.
The existing facilities then, could not cater for all residents’ needs because the majority of the rooms had WHBs with no private showering facilities and it was near impossible to accommodate specialist hoist and lifting equipment.

All bedrooms in the facility are now a minimum of 20 square meters with en‐suite facilities. Garden access is provided to most of the ground floor bedrooms to promote the use of outdoor space.
All 58 bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms or wetrooms, with large windows in each room to allow for more natural light. The home also includes a central cafe as a “dementia cafe” for family visits and activities to form “positive memories”.
The home has reserved a space for a hairdresser on the first floor, with the aim of bringing in a business from the area to cut residents’ hair.
There is one construction camera on-site being used by Runwood Homes to monitor construction progress throughout the duration of the project.

Gorey Educate Together Secondary School
Actavo Modular, the modular buildings division of Actavo Group, has been awarded the contract for the manufacture of seven new steel-framed modular education buildings for Gorey Educate Together Secondary School in Gorey, Co Wexford.
The company aims to provide sustainable builds to the education sector that will enable schools to meet demands for the provision of state-of-the-art educational facilities, within specific timescales. The design, build quality, and aesthetics of these new generation Modular buildings results in fit-for-purpose buildings which will serve their local communities for decades.

Due to local demand for enrolment, this project had to be manufactured and delivered within a specific timeframe. Off-site fabrication of the buildings in Actavo Modular’s state-of-the-art 60,000 sq ft Manufacturing Facility in Kill, Co. Kildare has been running concurrently with the groundworks on site to ensure the programme of works is achieved. This is one of the significant advantages of modular construction over other forms of construction.
Upon completion, the buildings will contain general classrooms plus a mixture of practical teaching units, providing over 2,850 m² of accommodation on a brownfield site. Actavo Modular provides full turn-key service across all construction disciplines including civil, structural, mechanical and electrical across all seven buildings, and all site work and utility tie-ins located within the public realm. St Leonards Beach Nourishment Works
The Department of Environment, Land, Water, and Planning (DELWP), Victoria, has completed the first of several Bellarine Peninsula beach renourishments.
The northern waterfront of St. Leonards was recently renovated, and as a result, the previously small shoreline was widened by 15 meters, according to DELWP(The Australian Department of Environment Land Water and Planning). The beach renourishment is designed to protect the coastline from further erosion, caused by more severe storms and rising sea levels attributed to climate change. Approximately 35,000m3 of sand was pumped onshore and 25,000m3 was used to construct the beach profile at St Leonards’ southern beach.
Enlarging the shoreline has improved the recreational area, protected coastal assets from inundation, and decreased the likelihood of erosion along the coastline. Over 25,000m2 of sand was harvested from an offshore location, pumped to shore, and then spread out and profiled landscaping and the planting of indigenous plants along the shoreline are examples of post-works.
The construction camera installed on the company's site proved to be a valuable asset for various purposes. Firstly, it was used to monitor the day-to-day progress of the construction project, which helped the project managers to keep track of the work being done and ensure that everything was on schedule. This also allowed the project stakeholders to make informed decisions about any necessary adjustments or changes.

The camera provided visual indicators that were helpful in monitoring water quality and turbidity, which was crucial for the construction project's environmental impact. This allowed the company to take corrective measures if necessary and ensure that they were complying with any regulations or standards related to water quality.
The construction camera also provided remote access for project managers, allowing them to check in and monitor the project's progress without having to travel to the site, saving time and resources. This allowed for more efficient project management and ensured that any issues or concerns were addressed in a timely manner.
The camera was used as a community engagement and promotional tool for social media. The company shared images and updates about the project's progress, creating awareness and generating interest from the public. This helped to build positive relationships with the community and increased the company's visibility in the market.

East London Forensic Centre
The Impact of Live Site Visibility on East London Forensic Centre Construction
Waltham Forest Council started a project to renovate the East London Forensic Centre. The goal was to replace old facilities with a modern, purpose-built mortuary. This new facility, with its advanced PMCT scanner, is unique in Greater London. It offers more capacity, improved public areas, and better access for staff and visitors. The project also includes upgraded parking and landscaping to create a more welcoming environment.
Objectives and Challenges
The project faced many challenges, including health and structural issues. There was limited space and a history of antisocial behaviour. The Council needed an innovative solution to manage the complex construction process. Handling communication among multiple stakeholders effectively was also a key concern for this project. Considering these challenges the stakeholders decided to use Evercam’s platform to improve construction monitoring, ensure comprehensive site visibility, and streamline progress reporting.

Modern Site Monitoring and Reporting with Evercam
Before using Evercam construction cameras, site visits were frequent and required significant travel. The clerk of works and the senior project manager made trips of up to 100 miles. Evercam’s live site visibility and automatic daily progress photos via SnapMails changed this process. Remote monitoring significantly reduced the need for physical visits. This real-time capability was particularly helpful for team members in Essex and London. It saved substantial time and travel costs.
“The real-time monitoring capability of the camera system was particularly beneficial for team members who previously had to travel long distances. The use of the camera reduced the frequency of their visits, saving time and resources, while still keeping them well-informed about the project’s progress”~Council Senior Project Manager

Improved Efficiency and Stakeholder Communication
Evercam’s platform significantly streamlined reporting and presentation preparation. The ability to create custom time-lapse videos reduced the project manager’s preparation time by three hours per presentation. This enhancement improved the effectiveness of stakeholder meetings.
Real-Time Visuals for Faster Decision-Making
During construction, the team faced a delay in drainage works. Evercam’s real-time monitoring allowed them to track progress and adjust schedules proactively. This kept the project on track and optimized resource use.
“It made my life a lot easier. I didn’t have to spend so much time preparing presentations because I could just talk through using the time-lapse videos. The drainage was also a concern for us, but we were able to see where they were and where they needed to be in 10 days.”~Ashana Jones Council Senior Project Manager[caption id="attachment_39754" align="aligncenter" width="651"]
