Watch the incredibly rapid construction of Clúid Housing development in Killarney, Co. Kerry, where Thermohouse Ltd. has completed 60 structures in only 10 months. Clúid is a provider of high-quality affordable housing and is the largest housing agency in Ireland. The 61-unit housing development consists of 39 three-bed houses and 22 two-bed houses, making it the biggest development that Clúid has taken on outside of Dublin.

The 61 houses will provide high quality social housing to families and single people on Kerry County Council’s housing list.

Construction of the New South Stand at Tallaght Stadium is now completed.

Contractor ABM Construction has built the new stand. It’s a single-tier structure containing 2,183 spectator seats. This is a sizeable addition to the home of the Shamrock Rovers, which saw the stadium expand from its old capacity of 6,000 to ultimately house over 8,000 spectators.

ABM Tallaght Stadium progress by our construction timelapse & Bim Integration

The completion of the South Stand is a great sign of investment in the area. It demonstrates the commitment to improving the area and the overall experience of people who live there.

Evercam has installed its cameras to record and monitor the complete construction process of this phase. The feature of BIM Integration has also been added as shown in the construction process video on the top.

The construction of the new is well underway.

Elliott Group has built upwards of 2,000 hotel bedrooms in recent years together with a host of leisure centres both public and private.

They have perfected hotel & leisure construction from the design stage through to handover by using practical prefabrication methods insofar as possible so that we can shorten the build time and improve the quality of the finished product. These prefabrication methods are carefully coordinated with services, ensuring life cycle and utility costs are optimised.

The St. Columba’s College Social Hub Project has taken shape, using live view & time-lapse to keep the construction team on track.

With Phase 1 completed, the Hub will be open for the students in the coming academic year.

The two-story block on the lower ground floor, with an entrance, toilets, and boiler house, includes a first-floor server that adjoins the south-facing garden pavilion, providing both casual and formal events with a wide interconnected social room.

The design of the works included part of the historic stone garden wall being deconstructed and reinstated. In advance of the job, extensive historical analysis and recoding were conducted and ensured that the reinstatement was in line with the best standards of conservation.

The Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) has constructed an 86.9 m air traffic control tower at Dublin Airport.

The new facility is ready for single runway operation during the first half of 2020 and will be ready to facilitate parallel runway operations by 2021 when the Northern parallel runway is introduced at Dublin Airport.

The tower has been designed by Scott Tallon Walker, including Arup and Linesight, in association with IAA experts. BAM Ireland is the main contractor. Although this new tower will not surpass the height of some structures like the cathedral spire of St. John’s in Limerick, it has become one of the tallest buildings in Ireland after its completion.

“The height of the new Dublin Air Traffic Control Tower will ensure that it becomes a significant feature on the Dublin skyline,” said David Cahill of Scott Tallon Walker.

The Carrick-on-Suir rail bridge was the most struck railway bridge in the country.

It had been struck 49 times since 2009. The hitting of bridges by large vehicles in one of the greatest safety risks, so in February 2017, the bridge was raised.

The previous clearance was 4.54 meters, which was increased to 5.03 meters with the construction of the new bridge.

The new structure was designed by the Irish Rail assisted by the design and production teams in concrete specialists Shay Murtagh Precast.

ESS Modular two-bed home was a major attraction at the Offsite Expo in Coventry.

The company installed a two-bedroom home in the Ricoh Arena in less than two days.

The house was constructed and fully fitted out in the ESS Modular precision manufacturing facility in less than 4 weeks and transported to the exhibition centre where it was visited by thousands of delegates during the course of the show.
